No matter how serious one may be about cycling, to most people Viking Tour is a well deserved, hard earned and trained for holiday and needs to be planned well ahead.
The new route is as gorgeous as ever. Norwegian nature never let you down before..? To many the 2012 route will seem less scary than this years toughest-ever edition. Stages will in general be just as vertical but a little shorter in distance.
The prologue is back. This short individual first stage will take place on a Saturday evening and make possible a few nice improvements:
Easier traveling: One can arrive in Norway on Saturday morning by boat or plane and be at the startline well in time for a little relaxing, registration, briefing and prologue.
more social start to you holiday: Cooperation with CCs, Intersport and other enthusiastic locals suggest even more spectators and show before, during and after the prologue. You get to know even more people before the first road stage on Sunday.
Viking-For-A- Day will be continued.
A fair-priced hotel package will be available as option along with Valhalla.
Signing up early will be very beneficial. Plans are in place to achieve record participation in 2012 and we expect a very early filling of lists. Such early sign-ups leave the organisation with more time and resources to focus on developing both new ideas and attending to the many details. This is reflected in lower early starting fees.
